Instead, I will be sending them home periodically during the week starting Tuesday (we cannot give any form of homework today or Thursday due to Back to School Night).  If you cannot cover books the night I send them home, NO WORRIES! Just please be sure to send them back in the following day as we will be using the books in class.

I look forward to seeing many of you at Back to School Night tonight or on Thursday  starting at 7pm. You can either come to the first session (7:00-7:30) or the second session (7:30-8:00). Come see what your little ones have been doing in 1B and learn all about our classroom routines!

See you soon!

Happy Thursday!

Today we had both Music and Library. We read all about the Library Mouse in preparation for our trip to the Library this afternoon! The children really loved how he wrote his very own books! Please remember to return your child’s Library book every Thursday as they cannot take out a new book if they have no returned the first one.

As a reminder, our PTA meeting is tonight at 7pm in the Cafeteria. I hope to see you there! We will also be having our first school Liturgy at 9am. Hope you can come see our SJA school family in action at Mass!

Have a great night!

Good Afternoon!

Today we had our first Art class of first grade! We also took a field trip down to the church to practice how we sit in church for our first school Liturgy on Friday. The Mass is at 9am if you would like to attend!  Please also note that our first PTA Back to School Night is tomorrow night at 7pm in the Cafeteria. Sr. Pat asks that all families have at least one representative to attend.

Over the weekend, I will be sending home our Math book and our Religion book to be covered with clear contact paper. This helps make our paperback book become sturdier in an effort to stop them from bending and ripping. If you cannot cover them this weekend, please be sure to send the books back in on Monday COVERED OR NOT because we will be using them for instruction on Monday. Thanks in advance!

Reminder: Gym day is Friday. We will also be having our first Music class tomorrow and Library!

Have a great night!

Today was a busy day in 1B! We took a tour of our school, learned all about our classroom Library, and all about God’s creation. Ask your child what they chose as their favorite thing God created! Just as a reminder, please remember that pretzels are ONLY 25 CENTS.  Many children are coming in with dollars and more and if possible, please only send in a quarter that is in a SEPARATE bag from your child’s lunch token.

If you are choosing to have your child buy lunch, please make sure their token is either in a labeled wallet or labeled sandwich bag. This makes it much easier when it’s time to put our tokens in our lunch bin. Thanks for your cooperation!  As a reminder, our Gym day is on Friday. Please refer to the above specials schedule for more information.

Have a great night!
