WE SPREAD THE GOOD NEWS

Mrs. Merski's KindergartenB Classroom

"Love is all around us, so let the feeling grow..."

Throughout this winter season KB continues to Spread the Good News of God's love for us.  Our days are spent in prayer, song, friendship, and service to our school and parish community.

In Religion we are learning about God's love through our favorite Bible stories. We will continue to learn about our Church Family, the lives of our Saints, the Mass, and our special Church Holy Days.

In ILA we enjoyed learning about all the animals who are out and about in the cold winter weather. We are learning sight words and are blending our sounds to read new words. As we begin to study the many varieties of bears and their habitats we are eager to practice our beginning writing skills to print bear facts.

We had lots of fun in Math exploring the types and characteristics of Solid Shapes. They roll, they slide, they have faces. It's fun to stack Solid Shapes to create different things!

Upcoming ILA units will be Community Helpers/Transportation, Weather, The Pond, Bugs, Animal Tales/Fairy Tales.

Math Chapters will focus on Measuring/Weighing, Time, Money, Addition/Subtraction
