Homework
For The Week
*Religion: Students are preparing for the Sacrament of The Holy
Eucharist.
Homework Assignment: Student will write on white lined paper four
complete sentences on the many ways Jesus speaks to us. On a separate
piece of any colored construction paper, the student will illustrate a picture
of the ways Jesus speaks to us. Due Friday Feb.24
*Daily Fix It: Tuesday, study sentences 1-6. Wednesday, study sentences 1-8. Thursday, study sentences 1-10. Test Feb.24
*Reading: “A Weed Is a Flower”. In class, students will read aloud
fluently with expression and intonation. Students will learn strategies for
decoding words, cause and effect, drawing conclusions, and inferences. Students
will also learn to distinguish between biographies and autobiographies.

*Spelling: Test
Feb.24: In class, students will learn comparative endings-er,-est and how the
ending of a word changes it’s meaning..
*Grammar: In
class, students will learn how to identify the verbs am, is, are, was and
were.
Test Feb. 28.
*Writing: In class, students will be learning how to distinguish
between essential and nonessential information.
Homework Assignment: Students will
write their own directions for a recipe on white lined paper and draw a picture
on construction paper of their recipe. Due Feb.28
Example:
Peanut Butter Sandwich
1. You will need two pieces of
bread, jam, peanut butter, and a spoon.
2. Spoon out a tablespoon of
peanut butter on one slice of bread.
3. Spoon out a tablespoon of jam
on the other side.
4. Put the two slices of bread together.
5. Enjoy!
*Math Chapter 12 Objectives-
· Use math vocabulary relating to regrouping with
subtraction.
· Determine when regrouping is necessary and regroup 1 ten
as 10 ones.
· Subtract two-digit numbers with and without
regrouping
· Use data from a table to solve problems.
