Music is taught to all students once a week. Music can play a vital role in the social, academic, creative, and spiritual development of a child. At St. Joan of Arc School, students will learn and experience music through singing, listening, and instrument playing, among other activities. Areas covered include music history, appreciation, vocal development, note reading, and composition.

“If I weren’t a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I live my life in terms of music.” -Albert Einstein

“Band members have a special bond. A great band is more than just some people working together. It’s like a highly specialized army unit, or a winning sports team. A unique combination of elements that becomes stronger together than apart.” -Steven Van Zandt
